Nujaba: Hormuz Has Trapped US, Iraq Should Reject US Orders

Iraq’s Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba says Iran’s control of the Strait of Hormuz is tightening the noose around the necks of the United States and its allies. According to Saba News Agency, Nujaba military deputy Abdul Qader al-Karbalaei said in a Telegram post on Friday that the Hormuz crisis had backfired on Washington and its allies.

Nujaba: Fuel Prices Expose the Backfire

Al-Karbalaei said gasoline costs $90 per 30 litres in the US compared with only $7 in blockaded Iran. According to Press TV, he said countries that stayed out of the US-Israeli war of aggression and blockade against Iran had obtained Tehran’s permission to transit the strait and avoided international crises.

Iraq Urged to Reject US Decisions

The Nujaba official said Iraq should have rejected unjust US decisions to ensure the smooth passage of its oil shipments, just like countries that refused to comply with Washington.

Press TV noted that a day earlier the IRGC’s second-in-command said Iran’s armed forces were fully prepared to defend the Strait of Hormuz and safeguard the Iranian nation’s rights in the waterway, stressing that they exercise control over it. Iraq relies on the Persian Gulf route for much of its oil exports, making the remarks significant amid US pressure on Baghdad.
