A senior Hezbollah official, Sheikh Hassan Baghdadi, a member of the movement’s Central Council, has said the martyrdom of resistance leaders will not stop the awakening of the Islamic Ummah, and that the blood of martyrs instead awakens nations and strengthens their unity. According to AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA), citing Hawzah News, he spoke at the fourth international conference “The Resurrection of the Ummah of Muhammad (PBUH)” in Tehran.
Hezbollah Official: Islam’s Call Is Global
Citing Quranic verses, Baghdadi said the Quran’s address is not directed at a single society or land. “The Islamic call has a global mission, and when this call emerges and gains power in one part of the world, its effects can influence other nations and societies as well,” he said. He added that the impact of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution reverberated across the region and among Muslims in Western countries, prompting renewed attention to faith and Islamic identity.

Blood of Martyrs Awakens Nations
“The resurrection of the ummah does not end with the martyrdom of leaders; in many cases, the blood of martyrs can become a factor for greater awakening and movement of nations,” Baghdadi said. He pointed to Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and Palestine as signs of rising awareness, and said that despite immense destruction the Palestinian cause remains alive and the resistance remains an effective factor in the region. Enemies who imagine that eliminating leaders can halt nations, he said, may produce the opposite result.
