A significant global conference titled “Solution to the Palestinian Issue” was recently held in Tehran under the auspices of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening, drawing renowned religious scholars and intellectuals from various countries. The speakers unanimously emphasized that conducting a referendum based on the will of the Palestinian people is the only guarantee for lasting peace in the region, declaring it an obligation for all Islamic nations to provide full and practical support to the Palestinian resistance.
Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, head of the Supreme Council of the Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly, along with other key leaders, clarified that the proposed plan for elections and a public referendum in Palestine is a principled and logical solution to end the severe crimes committed by the occupying Zionist regime. The speakers stressed that the so-called peace plans presented by the United States can never serve the interests of the Palestinians, asserting that genuine resistance is the only way to force the enemy to submit to the public’s verdict.

During the conference, representatives from Lebanon, Yemen, and other nations acknowledged Iran’s continuous defense of Palestine but stated that the heavy responsibility of implementing a referendum cannot fall on Iran alone; other Islamic countries must also step forward. Yemeni leaders made it clear that despite facing severe sanctions, supporting Palestine remains Yemen’s top priority, while heavily criticizing certain regional nations for still failing to grasp the severity of Israeli and American threats.
The participating scholars expressed deep regret that the Muslim Ummah is currently facing a severe trial, yet numerous Muslim rulers have forgotten their fundamental responsibilities, remaining entangled in worldly affairs. They passionately urged scholars and the general public across the Islamic world to unite, step up, and provide all possible assistance, according to their capacities, to support the Palestinians fighting for freedom against the occupying Israeli forces.
