Israeli Attacks on Gaza Kill 7, Including 8-Year-Old Girl

Israeli attacks on Gaza continued on the first anniversary of the so-called ceasefire, killing at least seven Palestinians on Saturday, including an eight-year-old girl. According to Al Jazeera, medical sources said Shahd Abdul-Razzaq al-Najjar, 8, was killed by an Israeli quadcopter drone in the al-Jawazat area of western Gaza City.

Strikes across Gaza City and Khan Younis

Al-Shifa Hospital said four people were killed and several injured in a separate Israeli bombing near the Haider Abdel Shafi roundabout in the same part of Gaza City, while another Palestinian was killed in a drone attack in the Tuffah neighbourhood in the northeast of the city. In Khan Younis in the south, a woman died of wounds sustained in an Israeli attack earlier on Saturday.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that an Israeli drone bombed a group of people on al-Nafaq Street in the al-Daraj neighbourhood of eastern Gaza City, injuring several, two of them critically.

Latest Health Ministry figures

Gaza’s Ministry of Health said hospitals received 10 bodies, including one person who died of earlier wounds, and 65 injured over the past 24 hours. Since the ceasefire took effect, 1,481 Palestinians have been killed and 5,254 injured, while 836 bodies have been recovered from the rubble. The overall toll since October 2023 has risen to 74,370 killed and 175,371 injured.

“The rhythm of the genocide has not changed,” Al Jazeera correspondent Tareq Abu Azzoum said from Gaza.
