London Palestine March: Thousands Mark 3 Years of Gaza War

At the London Palestine march on Saturday, thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of central London in solidarity with the people of Gaza. According to Mehr News Agency, the National March for Palestine, organised by the Palestine Coalition, marked the third anniversary of Israel’s war on Gaza.

London Palestine March: “Stop Arming Israel”

According to organiser the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the march was held under the banner “3 years of genocide – stop arming Israel – sanctions NOW!” The group said Israel continues to commit genocide against Palestinians in Gaza after three years and called on the British government to end its complicity in Israel’s crimes. Marchers assembled at noon on Victoria Embankment, with coaches arriving from Coventry, Luton, Portsmouth and Wycombe Mosque in High Wycombe, among other places, and a dedicated trade union bloc.

Police Conditions and Heavy Presence

According to Mehr, the Metropolitan Police imposed conditions on the march and deployed a large number of officers, predicting between 7,000 and 10,000 demonstrators. Marchers set off from the Embankment towards Whitehall for a rally. The protest is part of a wave of pro-Palestine demonstrations held worldwide this week.
