Sudan RSF Attacks: Four Family Members Killed in Kordofan

Sudan RSF attacks on civilians continue. Four members of the same family were killed by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Al-Mazroub, North Kordofan state, the independent rights group Emergency Lawyers said, according to Anadolu Agency.

Killed for resisting looting

The group said an RSF force arrived at the family’s home on Monday to loot it. When the family resisted, the fighters returned the next day and killed four of them. Emergency Lawyers called the killings a “grave violation of the right to life” and demanded an independent investigation and accountability. The RSF did not comment. The Sudan Doctors Network said on Oct. 3 that the RSF had killed 25 civilians in Umm Badr.

Sudan RSF attacks by drone on El Obeid

Darfur24 reported that drone attacks on residential areas of El Obeid, the capital of North Kordofan, injured at least six people early Friday, one critically. An army source said RSF drones struck civilians and homes and set six civilian vehicles on fire, while air defences shot down several drones. Last week, drone attacks on the city killed five people and injured more than 27.

According to Anadolu, the army has advanced across most of North Kordofan, though Umm Badr and Jabra al-Sheikh remain under RSF control. The war, raging since 2023, has killed tens of thousands and displaced 13 million people.
