Iran has strongly condemned Washington’s “ridiculous” attempt to justify its aggression against the Islamic Republic by drafting a resolution for the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Iran’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Vienna stated on Tuesday that it is “ridiculous for the U.S., the aggressor, to submit a draft resolution to the Board of Governors on Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities.”
The draft resolution demands that Iran provide information on its enriched uranium stockpile and grant the IAEA access to its nuclear sites. It is expected to be voted on this week.

Iran’s mission pointed out that the US-Israeli war of aggression, which began on February 28, destroyed or severely damaged several Iranian nuclear facilities, making verification and access impossible. Yet the United States is now accusing Iran of non-cooperation.
The statement stressed that the US is trying to shift blame for the consequences of its own illegal attacks and warned that this move appears to be justification for further aggression. Tehran has firmly rejected the politically motivated draft resolution.
