Deputy Chief of the Iranian Army for Coordination Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari made the remarks during a meeting on Wednesday with the head of the Civil Aviation Authority of Iran.
He cited the bravery and resilience of Iran’s armed forces and popular support as key factors behind the US failure.

Sayyari also referred to the Iranian army’s first ever presence in the Mediterranean Sea recalling that the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei had said at the time that the naval deployment shook the world despite sanctions and restrictions.
The commander further noted the high level of social resilience among Iranians during the recent war saying that it placed a heavy responsibility on officials to work around the clock in appreciation of national unity and cohesion.
