RAMALLAH: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has strongly condemned the opening of an alleged embassy by the so-called “Somaliland” in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
In a statement issued on Monday evening, the Ministry described the move as a flagrant violation of international law and relevant resolutions of international legitimacy.

The Ministry stressed that any diplomatic or political measures, or any changes to the legal status of Jerusalem, are null and void and have no legal effect. It warned that such actions encourage the Israeli occupation’s colonial and expansionist policies against the Palestinian people.
The Ministry renewed its full support for the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the brotherly Federal Republic of Somalia, while calling on the international community to abide by UN resolutions regarding Jerusalem and refrain from any steps that assist the occupation in violating international law.
