Qalibaf Asim Munir Meeting: Iran Has No Trust in US, Will Never Retreat from National Rights

Qalibaf Asim Munir Meeting: Iranian Parliament Speaker holds key talks with Pakistan Army Chief in Tehran

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has said that Tehran has no trust in the United States and will never retreat from its national rights in talks with Washington aimed at ending the war in the region.

Qalibaf made the remarks in a meeting with Pakistan’s Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, who arrived in Tehran to exchange views on the latest developments regarding Pakistan-brokered negotiations between Iran and the US.

“We will not back down from the rights of our nation and country, especially with a party that is completely dishonest and we have no trust in,” he said.

Qalibaf pointed to Iran’s courageous self-defense on the battlefield and said the country will strive with intelligence and strength on the diplomatic front to secure its legitimate rights and national interests.

He blamed the US for breaking the Pakistan-brokered ceasefire by imposing a naval blockade and warned that if Trump restarts the war, it will be more devastating and bitter for America than before.

The Pakistani Army Chief expressed pleasure at meeting Iranian leaders with high vision. The US-Israeli aggression against Iran began on February 28. A Pakistan-brokered ceasefire took effect on April 8, but Iran has refused to reopen the Strait of Hormuz until the illegal US blockade is lifted.
