The US House of Representatives has approved a resolution aimed at limiting President Donald Trump’s war powers in relation to Iran, marking a significant challenge to the US administration’s handling of aggression against the Islamic Republic.
The measure passed on Wednesday by a vote of 215-208, with some Republican Representatives joining Democrats in support.
The resolution was introduced by Representative Gregory Meeks of New York. It reflects growing pressure on the US government due to the high costs of the war, including rising prices of food and gas in America.

The United States and the Israeli regime launched an unprovoked war of aggression against Iran on February 28. Iran responded strongly with over 100 waves of decisive retaliatory strikes against American and Israeli targets, forcing Trump to announce a unilateral ceasefire on April 7.
This resolution in the US House shows the failure of the US aggression against Iran and growing domestic opposition to the war. The measure still needs approval from both chambers of Congress.
