The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, has stated that the approval of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States was based on guarantees for the protection of national interests and the rights of the Resistance Axis.
In a message issued on Thursday, Ayatollah Khamenei addressed the Iranian nation, saying that the agreement was reached after the President, as head of the Supreme National Security Council, assured the protection of the rights of the Iranian people and the Resistance Axis.

The Leader noted that while he had a different opinion initially, he gave approval based on the President’s assurance and full responsibility. He emphasized that future negotiations will never mean accepting the enemy’s views or demands.
Ayatollah Khamenei said the Iranian nation will closely monitor the practical implementation of the agreed conditions. He prayed for the Iranian nation’s continued victory and success through the blessings of Imam Mahdi (a.s.).
