The White House has released the full text of the 14-point Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Iran and the United States. The document aims to bring an immediate and permanent end to the war on all fronts. Here is the complete text of the 14-point Iran-US Memorandum of Understanding: The United States and Iran, along with their respective allies in the current war, announce the immediate and permanent cessation of all military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon. They commit not to initiate any war or military action against each other, refrain from the use or threat of force, and ensure respect for Lebanon’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. The United States and Iran commit to respecting each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to refraining from interference in each other’s internal affairs. The United States and Iran commit to completing negotiations and finalizing a comprehensive agreement within a maximum of 60 days, which may be extended by mutual consent. Upon signing the agreement, the United States will begin lifting its naval blockade and all restrictions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the full lifting of the naval blockade to be completed within 30 days. During this period, maritime traffic will resume at pre-war levels under Iranian administration. The US also commits to withdrawing its military presence near Iran within 30 days after the final agreement. Upon signing the MoU, Iran will make its best efforts to ensure safe passage for commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz without charging fees for a period of 60 days. The United States commits to granting exemptions for the export of Iranian crude oil, petroleum products, and related derivatives immediately upon signing the MoU, including related services such as banking, insurance, and transportation. The United States commits to making Iran’s frozen or restricted funds fully available upon implementation of the MoU. The mechanism for their release will be agreed during negotiations. A monitoring mechanism will be established to oversee the implementation of this MoU and the final agreement.
