Israeli media has reported that in a powerful explosive drone attack in southern Lebanon the commander of the 401st Brigade Colonel Meir Beiderman was seriously injured. He is the highest-ranking Israeli officer wounded in southern Lebanon in the current conflict.
According to Israeli Channel 12 the attack took place this morning at 8 AM when Hezbollah targeted occupation forces of the 401st Brigade inside a house in the town of Dabel in southern Lebanon with an explosive drone. The report said the drone successfully bypassed Israeli temporary drone defense systems and protective nets to reach its target.

As a result of the explosion Colonel Beiderman is in serious condition while other officers and soldiers were injured at various levels. A total of eight soldiers were wounded. Israeli Channel 13 confirmed that Beiderman underwent head surgery after the attack. Israeli Army Radio reported that a reserve colonel identified as H has temporarily taken command of the 401st Brigade.
