Top Iranian officials, heads of state, foreign dignitaries, and high-ranking delegations from across the world have paid their respects to the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
In a solemn and historic ceremony unfolded at Tehran’s Grand Mosalla on Friday, heads of the three branches of the Iranian government along with presidents, parliamentary speakers, special envoys, scholars, religious intellectuals, and thinkers from diverse backgrounds from across the globe paid their respects to the late Ayatollah Khamenei.

Iranian officials and their families, representatives of religious minorities, families of martyrs of the resistance front and Arab tribal leaders also joined the solemn tribute.
Foreign dignitaries included Turkmenistan’s Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Iraqi President Nizar Amedi, Armenia’s Nikol Pashinyan, Tajikistan’s Emomali Rahmon, Pakistan’s Shehbaz Sharif and General Asim Munir, and many others from Iraq, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Nicaragua, Congo, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Palestine, Oman, and more.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said delegations from nearly 100 countries, along with public figures and civil society groups, would attend the farewell ceremony. He noted that countries which supported the US-Israeli aggression against Iran were not invited.
The multi-day funeral is expected to draw between 15 and 20 million mourners. Ceremonies will continue with further rites in Qom, Baghdad, Karbala, Najaf, and burial in Mashhad on July 9.
The tribute ceremony marked one of the largest international gatherings in Iran, reflecting the deep respect and admiration the martyred Leader commanded across political, religious, and cultural spheres.
This massive participation is a testament to the enduring legacy of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as a symbol of resistance, justice, and Islamic awakening.
The gates of the Mosalla are expected to be opened to the public at 6 AM on Saturday.
The ceremonies highlight the unity of the Iranian nation and the global Muslim community in mourning the great Leader.
