Pakistan and Arab-Islamic countries condemn Israeli settler violence in occupied West Bank

Pakistan and seven Arab and Islamic countries (Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE) have strongly condemned the violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

In a joint statement, the countries described attacks on mosques in Jiljalya and Mazar’a al-Noubani as clear violations of international law.

The signatory countries held Israel, as the occupying power, responsible and called on the international community to force the Zionist regime to stop its illegal policies and end settler violence. They reaffirmed their support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders.
