Iran announces service fees in Strait of Hormuz and demands end to foreign military presence

Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has announced that Iran will charge fees for services provided to vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Baghaei made these remarks while emphasizing that foreign military bases and presence in the region must come to an end.

The statement reflects Iran’s firm policy of exercising sovereignty over its territorial waters and strategic chokepoints.
