Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has affirmed that Iran will prevent any Israeli aggression on Lebanon through diplomatic efforts, cutting off negotiations, or direct military action if necessary.
Ghalibaf stressed that recent developments in Lebanon show that both military and diplomatic approaches are effective in confronting adversaries.

He said Iran does not have to choose between war and negotiations, adding that diplomacy does not prevent military operations and military operations do not prevent diplomacy. Ghalibaf blamed recent tensions on blatant US violations of the ceasefire in Lebanon and the illegal naval blockade on Iran.
The Iranian Parliament Speaker made it clear that Iran will continue to defend its rights and the rights of the region with full strength.
