Iran parliament vows support for armed forces against US Israeli aggression

Nearly 90 members of Iran’s parliament have vowed to fully support the armed forces and defense industries until the range of Iranian missiles increases enough to reach the offices of those who assassinated the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

In a letter addressed to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the lawmakers declared that avenging the blood of the martyred Leader and other martyrs of the Ramadan war is a religious, national and political duty.

“We will support our military forces and defense industries until the day our missiles’ range reaches the desks of the killers of the deputy of Imam Mahdi and the martyred Leader Khamenei,” the letter read.

The lawmakers said they will never yield to difficult conditions imposed by oppressors and tyrants. They warned against any weakness in upholding the principles of the Islamic Revolution and the red lines set by the Leader.

The letter outlined several non-negotiable demands, including the irreversible status of the Strait of Hormuz returning to its pre-war state, nullification of any talks over Iran’s nuclear capabilities, full compensation from the enemy for material and spiritual damages caused by the imposed war, the withdrawal of all American forces from the region, and punishment of the aggressors so severely that they never dare to attack again.

The lawmakers also rejected any trust in US promises, citing the bitter lessons of the experience of the JCPOA, the nuclear deal of 2015. They called for the killers, commanders and accomplices in the martyrdom of Iran’s Leader and other victims to be brought to justice.

‘Eye for an eye is not enough’

The representatives said the Epstein network of criminals respects no ethical or international principles. “The enemy must know that it will be a head in exchange for an eye,” they wrote, signaling that retaliation will be far harsher than proportional.

They also called for the immediate resumption of open parliamentary sessions and committee meetings under security protocols, similar to the 12-day war period, to strengthen the legislature’s oversight and legislative role.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was martyred on February 28, the first day of an unprovoked war of aggression launched by the United States and Israel against Iran. Iran’s armed forces carried out 100 waves of retaliatory strikes under Operation True Promise 4, over 40 days.

A fragile Pakistan-brokered ceasefire has been in place since early April, but a US naval blockade of Iranian ports continues, and Iran has repeatedly condemned Washington for violating the truce.
