The United States and Israel must take responsibility for the war they started and find their own way out of the quagmire, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman says.
In an interview with Brazilian newspaper Folha de Sao Paulo, Esmaeil Baghaei said Washington’s justifications for the aggression have been proven baseless. He stressed that the aggressors launched an unprovoked war against Iran on February 28 and the Islamic Republic was forced to defend its homeland.

Baghaei pointed to the heinous attack on Shajareh Tayyebeh elementary school in Minab where over 170 innocent students and teachers were killed. He said this was a clear war crime and the US must be held accountable under international law.
He added that Iran is working with Oman to ensure safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz while protecting its national security. Baghaei made it clear that Iran is ready for any scenario and its armed forces will respond immediately and with full force to any new adventure by the US and Israel.
