Advancing its pro-Israel stance, the United States government has officially designated the UK-based activist group ‘Palestine Action’ as a global terrorist organization, imposing severe economic sanctions on the entity. This controversial decision comes at a time when the British government is also conducting a widespread crackdown, resulting in mass arrests of individuals associated with the group.
Established in 2020, Palestine Action has been a prominent and vocal opponent of the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza. The primary target of their disruptive campaigns has been Israeli defense manufacturing companies operating within the United Kingdom, most notably the weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems.

Huda Ammori, the co-founder of Palestine Action, has strongly condemned the coordinated measures taken by the US and UK governments, labeling them as a direct assault on freedom of speech and civil liberties. She emphasized that the sole objective of her organization is to cripple the Israeli war machine, thereby saving innocent Palestinian lives and halting global complicity in the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
In addition to Palestine Action, the US government has also blacklisted the Italian collective ‘Autistici/Inventati’ and the internationally active network ‘Masar Badil’. Various human rights organizations have heavily criticized these oppressive measures by Washington and London, describing them as a malicious attempt to criminalize political dissent and suppress legitimate protests in support of Palestinian rights.
