Russia has carried Tehran’s position on ending the Iran-US war to Washington. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday that President Vladimir Putin, in coordination with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, presented Iran’s view on a possible resolution of the conflict to US President Donald Trump during a phone call on Friday, October 9.
Two meetings with Pezeshkian in Turkmenistan
According to Russia’s Sputnik news agency, Peskov said Putin held two meetings with the Iranian president on the sidelines of a summit in Turkmenistan, informing him at one of them about the upcoming call with Trump. “And then, in coordination with the Iranian president, Putin conveyed to Trump Iran’s vision on a possible resolution of the conflict,” Peskov said. The Kremlin did not disclose details of the Iranian position.
