A senior Iranian official has stated that Tehran will not allow the United States to make excessive demands either in negotiations or during the ceasefire process. He warned that any act of aggression will be met with a strong volley of missiles and drones.
Mohsen Rezaei, a member of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council and military affairs advisor to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, made these remarks in a post on X on Wednesday.
“Neither in negotiations nor in the ceasefire process will we allow America to make excessive demands,” Rezaei wrote. “The response to any shot or aggression will be a volley of missiles and drones. History will not turn back, and the aggressor will be punished swiftly.”
Rezaei’s firm warning came as the fragile Pakistan-brokered ceasefire showed new signs of strain due to continued US provocations.
On Tuesday, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched missiles and drones against the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, a US Air Force base in Kuwait, and other American military assets in the Persian Gulf region. These strikes were in retaliation for a US attack on an Iranian vessel in the Gulf of Oman and a US strike on a communications tower south of Qeshm Island.
This marked the third Iranian attack on US-linked facilities in Kuwait within a week. Earlier strikes on May 29 and June 1 involved ballistic missiles and drones that caused injuries and damage, including the destruction of a US MQ-9 Reaper drone.

Tehran has repeatedly stated that its patience has limits and that any aggression will be met with a devastating response, including expanding restrictions on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab Strait. The latest military exchanges clearly show Iran’s strong determination to defend itself against ongoing US-Israeli aggression.
