Military units liberated Mayun Island from Saudi-backed elements, while also taking over the islands of Zugar, Greater Hanish, and Lesser Hanish.
With these latest territorial gains, Ansarullah has secured complete dominance over this vital maritime chokepoint. The Bab al-Mandab Strait remains one of the world’s most critical waterways for international trade and shipping, serving as a transit route for approximately 10 percent of global energy resources.
