Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri has strongly denounced the US-mediated ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and the Israeli regime as a one-sided, biased and unfair deal that seeks to impose asymmetric obligations only on the Hezbollah resistance movement.
In written comments released by his office on Friday, Berri described the US-brokered framework as “hybrid, unfair, rigged, inequitable, and not worth mentioning.”
Berri insisted that any genuine agreement must start with an unconditional and comprehensive ceasefire covering land, sea, and air.

He stressed that Hezbollah’s withdrawal from south of the Litani River must happen only in parallel with the full withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from all occupied Lebanese territories. Berri warned that the deal attempts to achieve politically what the Israeli terrorist regime failed to achieve on the battlefield.
Despite the alleged ceasefire, the Israeli regime continues its aggression, bombing villages in southern Lebanon, destroying civilian infrastructure, and forcing displacement of residents.
Hezbollah maintains its legitimate resistance against the ongoing Zionist occupation and aggression in solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
